The Statistics Agency maintains a series of codes to represent the geographical area of Guelphia, for use in tabulating census and other statistical data. These codes are referred to as SA codes.

SA codes come in two forms: the standard set, based on a top down system using the geographical layout of the country; and the special set that combines adjacent standard codes to form metropolitan statistical areas and combined urban statistical areas.

Finally, the numerous dissemination areas receive their own four digit code that is separated from the leading seven digits by a hyphen (‐). For example, 1030101-1267
