Guelphian general election, 1988

The Guelphian general election of 1988 was held on Saturday, 5 March 1988. Held under the shadow of a Royal Commission in to the conduct of the previous National Party led government during the controversial Banks Scandal, the Democratic Party won a comfortable majority in coalition with the Social Democratic Labour Party.
